What Joan Rivers taught us!

We lost a legendary comedian today and an extraordinary woman in Joan Rivers. I've always admired Joan Rivers due to her feisty attitude and ability to be true to herself, regardless of what the world thought. She's always shown us that we shouldn't care what other people think, people are going to judge you no matter what, so just be who you want to be and don't give a crap about anyone else.

"I have no methods; all I do is accept people as they are"

On the other side of that fence, she also taught us to speak our minds. If we have an opinion, share it! Not everyone is going to like it, but not everyone is going to like the same things anyway. I loved how raw and honest Joan was and although I'm nowhere near as ballsy as she was, she taught us that it is ok to be brave. Live in the moment and don't shy away from your own thoughts.

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is God's gift. That's why we call it the present"

Joan was an author, a reality star, a presenter and a fashion critic and did it all with laughter and charm. I think the biggest lesson she taught me was to go for it; don't let any opportunity pass you by. If you want to follow your dream, you've got to be looking in every direction to find it; sometimes that means going into the unknown.

"I was smart enough to go through any door that opened"

And that doesn't always mean you'll be everything you always wanted to be, but it means you'll have done everything you possibly could and fought as hard as you could to get to where you're going to be. You can always have a plan B for when we do over.
"Acting is my true love. I would like to have been a serious actor, and I plan to in my next life. I'm gonna be Meryl Streep Rivers"
I eagerly await your return Meryl Streep Rivers. Until then, you'll be greatly missed and I wish you a peaceful rest; I'm sure you'll be spreading laughter on the other side.
