International Box Swap!

I've been working hard to organise an International Box Swap for a long time now. I love the idea of being able to connect with new people online, find a little bit about each other, and send each other a gift.

If you're not sure what a box swap is; it is simply the process of two people putting together a gift box of an agreed value of products and sending them to each other at the same time. Doing this internationally can open you up to products unavailable in your country and doing it locally can help you try products you perhaps wouldn't usually try. Either way, it's a great way to connect with new people who share similar interests.

To take part, all you need to do is comment on this blog post with your email address. You don't need to be a blogger to take part. And bloggers, you have the option to swap only with other bloggers, if you wish.

I will email you with more information and a few questions for you to answer about your preferences. Once I have received all of the answers, I will match you up with a box-swap partner. If I get an odd number of entries, I will put myself into the mix to even it out. Just so you know, I am amazing at putting together gift boxes, so you'll be getting a real treat if you're partnered with me!

If you're not 100% sure if you'd like to take part, leave your email and I will send you the info. If you then choose not to take part; either send me an email to let me know you've changed your mind or just don't reply (I won't be offended, it's ok).

I advise each of you to package your swap boxes well and discuss postage charges in advance (don't forget to include any customs and taxes, which may be applicable for international swaps). It may also be beneficial to post recorded delivery so you can track your swap. There are restrictions in the UK with nail polishes; you can send a maximum of 4 within the UK and I believe you can't send any nail polishes out of the UK with Royal Mail (I think - if anyone would like to clarify that, that'd be great).

Communicate with each other before your swap and find a little bit about each other. A few things you may wish to find out are: any allergies, favourite sweets, favourite colours, favourite brands, favourite makeup products, brands not available in their country. You decide, this is your swap.

Be creative with your product choices and make your boxes look pretty for your new virtual friend!

Have fun with it and if you're a blogger, don't forget to blog about your box swaps. I'm not going to ask you to start following me to take part or to mention me in your posts, but I would love for you to let me know when you have created a blog post about your swap so I can read and retweet them.

You have until Tuesday 30th September 00:00 (GMT) to leave me your email address. All box-swap partners will be assigned by Sunday 12th October. Full terms and conditions can be found in the registration email.

So, let's get some bloggers connecting, some new virtual friendships sailing and some exciting gift boxes in the making!
