Maybelline: Baby Lips in 'Mint Fresh' and 'Peach Kiss'

I've wanted to try Baby Lips for a while now, but I keep forgetting to buy it; so when I saw it on offer at Tesco at 2 for £5, I swooped (normally about £2.99 each). I picked up the 'Mint Fresh' and the 'Peach Kiss' and I just love the packaging; it matches the packaging of the Maybelline: Baby Skin - cute and colourful.

If you've not yet spotted Baby Lips on the shelves, they are a range of lip balms available at most shops - Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Asda and other supermarkets and chemists. I believe there are six available altogether, although my Tesco store only have three available. 'Mint Fresh' is a menthol lip protection balm with SPF 20 and 8 hours of moisture (76% of lips looked conditioned and cared for). 'Peach Kiss' is a moisturising lip balm with a hint of colour and 8 hours of moisture (82% of lips looked healthier).

'Mint Fresh' smells delicious, it's like a soft spearmint. When I first applied the balm, I expected an instant tingling, but it didn't come until about 20 seconds later. It was just the right amount of tingly; fresh, but not burning. My lips definitely felt soft with this balm on and it wasn't sticky at all, which was a great bonus. I can't fault this lip balm at all; cute packaging, fresh scent, soft texture, high SPF, affordable, and it works.

'Peach Kiss' is so sweet; I want to lick it off instantly! It is peachy, but smells more like sweets with a soft fruity scent. The colour is lovely and sheer, which is the kind of colour you want from a balm. It gave me more of a soft and cosy moisturising feel as opposed to Mint Fresh, which was more pure and fresh hydration. Although it doesn't contain SPF, I will definitely be using this balm as well, the colour will compliment most skin tones and it just feels great on my lips (when I can resist eating it).
